Committees: About

About YEP Committees

YEP Committees and the volunteers who serve on them are essential to our program meeting its stragetic goals.  Our committees align with our values and mission and work on targeted outcomes of the YEP program.

Social: this committee engages members within the general membership. This occurs by identifying opportunities in Erie County for members to experience, explore, and participate in other professional organization's events.

Recreation & Wellness: this committee creates opportunities for members to engage in recreational and wellness activities in Erie County. This occurs by promotiing the overall health and wellbeing of members.

Civic & Community Engagement: this committee provides opportunities for members to engage with the community through service and civic responsibility. This occurs through regular community service opportunities, voter education and engagement activities, advocating for policies that increase the quality of life for young professionals in Erie, and learning about different areas of Erie through engaging with those communities. Their primary responsibility is to coordinator service opportunties, increase voters in the 21-40 year old age bracket, and increase young leaders in local and state government.

Growth & Success: this committee promotes the personal and professional development of YEP members through education and experience. This occurs through identifying opportunities in Erie County for young professionals to lead, helping to develop the pipeline of young talent coming from our local schools and universities, and working with the YEP program manager to identify meaningful educational experiences for our members. Their primary responsibility is to help YEP achieve its educational programmatic goals and establish a pipeline of young talent.

Marketing: this committee manages all of the YEP social accounts and all internal and external marketing materials.

Executive Committee: this committee is comprised of our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The executive committee ensures YEP is achieving its goals and outcomes, conducts annual strategic planning, and oversees the work of YEP's committees.
