PLEASE NOTE: Both in-person and virtual attendance options are available. However, because space is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person registrations are only available for current YEP members. Lunch will be provided to our in-person attendees. Please wear a mask.  

About Nina Ferraro:
Nina Ferraro is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She relocated to Erie in 1988 for Post-Secondary Education. Nina attended Gannon University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1992, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 1996 and a Post-Masters Certification in Advanced Counseling Techniques in 2006.

For over 25 years she has worked with nonprofit organizations to support Erie area children and families in need. Nina worked as a mental health therapist and earned licensure for Professional Counseling in Pennsylvania in 2006. She has a variety of work experience including: providing mental health therapy to children and families at risk of residential placement or hospitalization; developed specialized programs for children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders; and managed programming for grieving children and families.

Currently, Nina is the Manager of Community Affairs for Highmark Health. In this role, she oversees Community Affairs and Engagement for both Highmark and Allegheny Health Network for the 11 Counties of Northwest Pa, North Pittsburgh (Cranberry/Wexford Area) and Westfield, NY.

Nina is a board member of the American Heart Association and Second Harvest Food Bank. She is married to John Ferraro and has two sons, Christian and Dominic. Nina is committed to Northwest Pennsylvania and is proud to live and work in Erie, PA.
