The Young Erie Philanthropists, a joint program of the Erie Community Foundation and the Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership, was established to support local initiatives aimed at making a profound impact on attracting and retaining young people in Erie.

The Young Erie Philanthropists Endowment, a donor advised fund of The Erie Community Foundation comprised of 15 members of Young Erie Professionals, has issued its first Request for Proposals.

We are currently seeking proposals for projects that address various needs and initiatives in the local region, which include but are not limited to:

  • Job Attraction
  • Career Readiness
  • Youth Education
  • Professional Development
  • Economic and Community Development
The Young Erie Philanthropists Endowment has committed up to $5,000 for this first mini-grant cycle. Proposals should not exceed $5,000.
  • Eligibility: any Erie County 501(c)3 nonprofit
  • Ineligibility: for-profit, sectarian religious activities, fundraising solely, hospitality projects
  • Deadline: Applications must be submitted by June 19, 2020, by clicking here.
  • Important Dates: Finalists will be selected by July 10, 2020, and grant recipients will be announced by August 21, 2020.
