Native to the Cleveland, Ohio area, Ben received his B.S.E. in Sport Industry from the Ohio State University. Upon graduation, he decided to attend Mercyhurst University to receive his Master's in Organizational Leadership. During that time, he served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member where he coordinated two mentoring programs, one at Jo Anna Connell Elementary and one at Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary. Upon completion of his service year, he accepted the role of Project Coordinator for the AmeriCorps VISTA sponsor organization, Lake Effect Leaders. This led him to his current role. One the side, Ben coordinated a mentoring program in partnership with the Multicultural Community Resource Center, delivered Meals on Wheels, and has been involved with Young Erie Professionals. This work has led to Ben's sense of civic responsibility for the Erie community. In his role as co-chair for the Business Engagement Committee, he hopes to build bridges and meaningful partnerships within Erie's community.
